Google and the hotel website had not promised too much: they described it as an ‘enchanting place’ with a view of Lake Starnberg that was second to none. And indeed, even on this dull, slightly rainy Tuesday morning, one can imagine how beautiful it must be to hold meetings and wedding celebrations at Hotel La Villa on sunny summer days.
We have an interview appointment with hotel manager Katja Lindo. Katja Lindo has been chair of the Starnberg Regional Committee since autumn 2021. The regional media found the appointment exciting. The Süddeutsche Zeitung, for example, wrote that Lindo is ‘extremely disciplined’ and ‘gets straight to the point’. Just a few sentences into our conversation, it becomes clear that wasting no time is the motto of this ‘power woman’. And one thing is important to her: she also wants to break with outdated conventions and routines.
