Between heritage protection and modernisation | LA VILLA
Katja Lindo-Roever in conversation with female entrepreneurs
‘We make people happy.’ This statement was made by Katja Lindo-Roever, managing director of LA VILLA, one of the most popular event locations on Lake Starnberg, at the event ‘Entrepreneurs in Conversation’ – a regular format organised by the Munich Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the VdU Landesverband Bayern Süd (Association of Women Entrepreneurs in Bavaria South).
Katja Lindo-Roever gave almost 50 participants an authentic insight into her entrepreneurship, talked about her values and also had the courage to talk about her weaknesses. It is not easy to lead a company whose core is a 160-year-old villa through the challenges of modern times. But she masters the balancing act between monument protection and modernisation with great success. In addition to monument preservation, Katja Lindo-Roever faces many challenges: she started as managing director during the coronavirus lockdown, with a shortage of skilled workers and a business model that ‘actually cannot work economically due to architectural features’. And yet it works perfectly.
